1. ENTRY-LEVEL DESIGNER
Salary: $60,000-$65,000
Location: Alexandria, Virginia (w/ option to work fully remote)
Position Overview
District Artisans is seeking a full-time Entry-Level Designer to support the design of custom residential projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated designer who is passionate about creating thoughtful, livable spaces and eager to gain hands-on experience within a collaborative design-build environment.
Based out of our Alexandria home office, this role offers the flexibility to work fully remote. At District Artisans, we are more than a design-build firm—we are a small, family-run team that values relationships as much as results. We believe the best work happens in a supportive environment where team members are trusted, heard, and encouraged to grow.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing conceptual designs, floor plans, elevations, and 3D models
- Produce construction documents including plans, sections, and details
- Research materials, products, and applicable code requirements
- Conduct site measurements
- Support interior design selections and documentation
- Attend client meetings and construction sites as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
- Proficient in SketchUp and AutoCAD
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Social media experience a plus
