1. Social Media Coordinator
Pay: $20/hour
Location: Alexandria, Virginia (w/ option to work fully remote)
Position Overview
District Artisans is seeking a part-time Social Media Coordinator to help tell our story, showcase our projects, and grow our digital presence.
Based out of our Alexandria home office, this role offers the flexibility to work fully remote. At District Artisans, we are more than a design-build firm—we are a small, family-run team that values relationships as much as results. We believe the best work happens in a supportive environment where team members are trusted, heard, and encouraged to grow.
Responsibilities
- Plan, create, and schedule content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and emerging channels)
- Capture and edit photo/video content from active job sites, completed projects, and team activities
- Write engaging captions aligned with brand voice and project narratives
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule and content calendar
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience managing social media for a brand (design, construction, real estate, or lifestyle preferred)
- Strong visual sensibility and basic photography/videography skills
- Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with social media analytics and scheduling platforms
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Interest in residential design, architecture, or construction is strongly preferred
